🧭 Route Directions
- Launch from Strandbad Neue Mühle — sandy beach, easy slope, chill forest backdrop.
- Head west first, a short warm-up leg, to reach the Neue Mühle Schleuse. Watch a boat go through or just drift near the lock under the trees.
- Turn around and paddle east, now hugging the northern shoreline.
- Keep an eye out for a subtle opening — turn left into the canals leading to the Tonteiche ponds. These winding waterways are glass-flat, shaded, and full of birdsong. Feels like you’re in a nature reserve.
- Exit the canals back into the lake and continue east toward Zernsdorf.
- Pull over at Paulines Hafencafé — dock right at the beer garden for a Radler, snack, or slice of cake with a lake view.
- Head back west along the southern shoreline, catching different views and maybe some evening sun.
- End your trip where you started, at Strandbad Neue Mühle — maybe go for a swim or grab one last drink at the kiosk.
